Report: British Downhill Series Round One
Jordan Williams, Matt Walker and team manager Will Longden all stepped onto the podium as the Madison Saracen Factory Race Team tasted success at the first round of the 2022 British Downhill Series.
Jordan overcame a big crash in qualifying to complete a safe run in finals and take the win in the junior men’s category by over two seconds in 2:42.995.
Matt admitted to making a few too many mistakes in his race run and the British champion had to settle for third place, just 0.5-seconds back from the win. Team manager Will Longden rounded out the weekend by taking the veteran’s win.
The team now begin their build-up to the Fort William double-header, starting with round two of the British series on May 7-8 and followed by round two of the World Cup on May 21-22.
