Jordan Williams stormed Fort William as the Madison Saracen Factory Race Team collected three podium places at the latest round of the British downhill series.
Williams won his junior category race – but more impressively set a time that would have been good enough to place second in the elite men’s category.
His winning margin was a stunning eight-seconds over world champion Jackson Goldstone and his 4:34.939 translated into a time that would have placed him just 0.4-seconds back from the elite men’s win.
In the elite men’s race itself, Matt Walker took a credible third place behind Danny Hart and Laurie Greenland, showing that his preparation is going well ahead of Britain’s biggest annual downhill race.
Veronika Widmann made it all three Madison Saracen team members on the box, as she placed third in another stacked field that was led out by Nina Hoffmann and Vali Holl.
The squad return to Fort William on May 20-22 for the second round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
